The Sawmill Inn
About a week ago, I went to pick up my wedding dress! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for late October.
Before getting the dress with my mom, we visited The Sawmill Inn in Richfield for the second time in my bridal gown adventures. The first time we went, I had a salmon salad that was amazing. This time, I opted for some Baja fish tacos. These were so delicious that I didn't want to stop eating them (but when do I ever want to stop eating tacos?). They came with rice pilaf instead of rice and beans, which, in the whole scheme of the dish, I think would have made it too heavy.
The cod was beer-battered and was the perfect ratio of batter to fish. It wasn't oily so the tortillas stayed intact for the entirety of the meal. The cilantro on top of the the cabbage slaw was a nice touch and not overpowering.
My mom had the Southern Chicken sandwich and absolutely loved it. It comes with spicy mayo but it wasn't very spicy, which was perfect since she isn't the spicy type. The first time we ate here, she had the Turkey Cranberry Brie sandwich, which she also really enjoyed.
For those that are curious, the restaurant is practicing social distancing. Our server did not wear a mask but only came by a minimal number of times and I was comfortable with that. Some patrons were wearing masks while sitting and chatting.
So overall, the staff is friendly, the food is awesome, and you can choose between a 6 and 9 oz. pour of wine.
